Dr. Kathryn Taketa-Wong practices holistic family medicine with the philosophy of empowering patients to take an active role in their health. She specializes in medical treatment of autism spectrum disorders and ADHD, having completed training through the Autism Research Institute (formerly known as DAN!) and the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs. 

 

Hawaii Autism Foundation  

 

The Hawaii Autism Foundation (HAF) educates and helps Hawaii families find and fund treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and develop resources that will assure our children have the tools and transitional support they need to reach their full potential and thrive as adults.

 

TACA (Talk About Curing Autism)  

 

Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families affected by autism. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the cycle time from the autism diagnosis to effective treatments. TACA helps to strengthen the autism community by connecting families and the professionals who can help them, allowing them to share stories and information to help improve the quality of life for people with autism.

 

Hawaii Disability Rights Center  

 

The mission of Hawaii Disability Rights Center is to protect and promote the human, civil and legal rights of individuals with disabilities through the provision of information and advocacy.

 

Kahumana Organic Farm  

 

The mission of Kahumana Organic Farm to co-create a healthy, inclusive and productive farm-based community with homeless families, people with disabilities and youth. We accomplish our mission through the practices of mindfulness (maka’ala), empathy (aloha), and working together (lokahi)..

 

Sprouts Therapy LLC  

 

Sprouts Therapy, LLC is a pediatric habilitation program offering intensive occupational and speech therapy services on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. We provide brain, motor and sensory based treatment promoting independence, community integration, fine/gross motor skill development, communication and social skill development. We are therapist-operated and committed to providing the highest quality of therapy to children with a variety of disabilities.
